Women of WORTH (Working On Restoring Trust & Hope) Recovery Group

Alumnae of Nicasa’s Women’s Services program formed a recovery support group and now actively promote recovery in the community, advocate for substance abuse service funding, organize fundraising events, and share their stories. 

Health Fairs

Nicasa staff participate in health fairs across Lake County to share information on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles.

Coalitions

Nicasa staff participate in a variety of community coalitions to collaborate with other social service agencies, share information on alcohol and drug use trends, maximize the effectiveness of community resources, and promote healthy lifestyles.

Public Awareness Campaigns

Nicasa promotes public awareness of the dangers of alcohol and drug use and other risky behaviors. This includes presenting proclamations to municipal leaders, participating in community events, providing speakers, and promoting National Recovery Month and Alcohol Awareness Month.
