Nicasa’s Women of WORTH (Working on Restoring Trust and Hope) are an alumni group of women who have graduated from Nicasa’s Women’s Services program. The group provides them with additional recovery support once they have finished treatment. The Women of WORTH meet weekly to plan activites and events and encourage each other to maintain recovery.
One of the Women of WORTH activities is jewelry-making. They create bracelets, neclaces, and earrings of Kazuri beads made by disadvantaged women in Africa. The Women of WORTH have also organized two workshop series on strengthening various aspects of a woman’s life. Other activities have included car washes, a speak-a-thon, a talent show, and Nicasa’s Walk for Recovery.
The current Women of WORTH points of contact are Jackie C. and Geannell J. at (847) 785-8660.
